Where did the summer go? Here I am the night before the first day of school planning at the last minute.
I
spent the weekend running errands in preparation for tomorrow. I
dragged Toshi to Target, Lakeshore (a teacher store), Big Lots, the
bookstore, and, of course, the 99 Cent Store … a.k.a. a
teacher’s paradise.
A couple hundred dollars later, I think I’m set to go.

We managed to catch a movie too. We saw Grizzly Man.
I’m
still not quite sure what I thought of it, except that I know for sure
the guy was a wacko … well-intentioned but still a wacko. The
rest is still sinking in …

This
promises to be a busy week. School everyday and classes on
Thursday night and all day Saturday. I hope I haven’t bitten off
more than I can chew. We shall see, eh?
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
P.S. Cross your fingers for me in hopes that everyone in Room 10 brings their thinking caps this year.
big, huge (((hugs))) for being brave enough to face a classroom of eager little minds . I’m sure you will do awesome. I join you tomorrow in the anxiety of 3rd grade!!
I cross my fingers for you. Although I am not too sure if I like the summer break you had . I wish I have a summer break too, that would be awesome. Yeah, I already know what you are going to say. Yes, one of my co-worker did it, he actually gave up his chemical engr. job to pursuit a teaching degree. Hmmmm, I couldn’t have done it. But he did. Have fun with the kids Kelly.
how exciting! the start of a new school year. i’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. i hope you have a good start!
take care,
lori
