This is how I spent my day …

That’s Nicholas (my newest nephew) and his proud sisters, Sophia and Grace.

When Nicholas
wasn’t on my lap, my other nephew, Joseph, kept it warm for him; boy,
that kid has a bony behind.   We played with Legos at the table
for about an hour and a half.  Why is it that boys have to turn
everything into a weapon?    Of
course I wasn’t the first choice for play.  Joseph ran up to me,
full of excitement, and the first words out of his mouth were “Hi, Aunt
Kelly!  When’s Toshi coming?”

Toshi
couldn’t make it because he’s been fighting a sinus infection all
week.  I’ve been getting hourly updates  for days on what
percentage of each nostril is open, and lately he’s taken to sporting a
tissue nosering … you know, one end of a tissue up each
nostril.  Gag!  I tried sleeping on the sofa
one night this week because the gurgling was making my stomach turn, but sleeping on a
leather sofa is much like trying to get cozy on a slip ‘n’ slide.
Now I just try to fall asleep before he does.
Thankfully, he is finally on the mend.

Well, Saturday is almost over, and despite my great intentions to “get
things done”, I have managed to do nothing but play with kids all
day.  How lucky can a girl get?

Happy weekend!

  1. Handsome kids! I bet your exhausted now. I love that quote it fits so well with the pictures and your day. Sorry to hear about Toshi’s sinus thing. My man has been going thru something like that too. He has never snored in almost 24 years of marriage and now he keeps me up half the night. It’s driving me loopy. Have you noticed the lack of sleep making you cranky. I plan on dragging his noisy nose and his butt to an ENT. As soon as I can find one that speaks English.

  2. ahhh i once played legos for a week…i built every container there was..when all was done i had a huge pirates and sword fighting land with knights and all …it was quite a mix…i had castles and tree houses with monkeys and cars and you name it…and i used felt piece cut out to make green islands and blue felt for the sea….i am actually quite a lot of fun to play with….lol hope you had fun…and they are all delicious kids…warmth and LOVE ❀

  3. I swear I left a comment here…..weird! Those are adorable kiddos . I’m finding it very therapeutic to write it out on my xanga. Even if you do it protected – you’re still telling your story and writing your feelings. It might help!Thank you for your encouragement . Sometimes I don’t know what I would do without xanga!

  4. i have not been leaving comments with no time but i wanted to say thank you for your comments…i really am not sure about any of this at the moment…i work cry and go to bed sleep an hour and wake up and then i lay there…the one good thing is mangagement is nice but all the rest will kill me..which really i say sarcastically because if this were true i would just say  okay…the truth is i will be a zombie and never do anything else that is what has me so upset…i see no one in this job and when i sleep it is day …i work in night by myself so basically if i ever thought to see love ….well i now realize that expectation is done….the walking thing is ridiculous …i can ask for a security escort but i am wodering if maybe i can park closer to the casino in the other parking lot they use for executives i am gonna see if i can get a doctors note if they would take it because i have a knee problem especially my left knee joint problem that has really been acting up..if not then i will hobble at 3am..lol i should laugh at that…i got to go..have a good day..and i hope you have LOVE
